Toxic Flame Retardants on Simple Electronics

SIMPLE TIP OF THE DAY:

WASH HANDS AFTER HANDLING CELL PHONE, iPAD AND REMOTE CONTROLS! (AND DON’T LET BABY HANDLE THEM!)

Since flame retardants have become so ubiquitous in our environment, we realize that they are impossible to completely avoid. They are in our insulation in our homes, our walls, carpet padding and more. You CAN help lower exposure though by choosing safer products for your family and baby such as organic crib mattresses, changing pads, car seats, strollers, clothing, the list of what you CAN control goes on and on…which is great! But the BEST way to lower your exposure and your child’s is to wash hands! Wash your hands AND BABY’S HANDS before you eat especially!  A lot of exposure is through a child eating with the chemicals on their hands or putting their hands in their mouths. Try to keep them from touching electronics and don’t use IPads or IPhones as toys! They contain FR and harmful radiation too!
