Non-Toxic, Great Smelling Lotions and Soaps for Mom

PLANTLIFE makes safer lotions and soaps for mom and baby!

We are excited to launch our new OBU “Products We Love” series with one of our favorite products for the last several years, Plantlife soaps and body lotions. The owner of Plantlife has been involved in this green, non-toxic personal care industry for over 20 years and is super passionate about created safe and healthy products. She was one of the original signers of the Skin Deep database that promotes education of ingredients and safer choices in personal care. She is a pioneer in the green body care industry.

Soaps and lotions are two of the important products to make sure you are using safe choices, especially for pregnant women and children! Both are lathered all over the body and get absorbed through a large portion of your skin. Lotions in particular are one of the most important product choices as it is used all over the body and is specifically designed for maximum absorption into the skin, and therefore, into your bloodstream.

SOAPS:

Not your boring everyday smells here! Plantlife has tons of cool, different and yummy scents that everyone will like! Plantlife soaps offers a long list of scents and ingredients in their soaps to appeal to every type of mom in a variety of forms like bars, a loaf, grains, bulk and foams and a sampler pack. From peppermint, lemon, subtle scents like oatmeal almond, to earthy cedar sage, they have a wide array of cool smells and blends. They have so many that I have yet to try them all…but I can tell you that the Vanilla Orange is now and will always be a staple in my home. It smells amazing! I also tried and love the Oatmeal Almond soap for my face! It has little exfoliating beads for those wanting a soap that exfoliates while you clean. They have a NO PEST soap that is great for using during the summer months to keep mosquitoes at bay (and we all know how much mosquitoes LOVE pregnant women). One of my favorite things about their soaps is when my 12 month old took a big bite out of one…and ATE IT (yikes!) I didn’t have to wonder horrible chemical my child has just ingested! I called poison control and read the ingredients and they told me not to worry! That makes a mom feel good! Plantlife makes their soaps with safe ingredients like olive oil, coconut oil, and essential oils. Check with the safety of a specific essential oil during pregnancy if you have a question.

BODY LOTIONS AND OILS:

Plantlife has three amazing body lotions too. They are super soothing and moisturizing, not yucky or greasy, and actually work! Made with ingredients like organic aloe and organic rosa canina fruit extract, you can know that the ingredients are a good choice. They come in a lavender, vanilla orange (yum!) and lemongrass for extra dry skin, depending on your mood or preference. They also have a great multi-pack with all three if you don’t know which you want…or want all three! For those moms who prefer an oil to a lotion, they offer a wider variety of scents for oils. They also come in a multi-pack so you can try all their different scents. Use oils right out of the shower while you are still wet to get max benefits and lock in moisture. Try mint, ginger-berry, lavender, lemongrass, orange blossom, ylang ylang and patchouli. They also make the Pest-Off in an oil. The oils are made with olive, jojoba and other safe oils with no GMOs or gluten!

We hope you love these soaps, lotions and oils as much as we do! One you give them a try, give us and the other readers some feedback in the comment and let us know what you think!
